Jimmy Buffett's free Gulf Coast benefit concert called CMT Presents Jimmy Buffett & Friends: Live From the Gulf Coast is this Sunday, July 11, 2010.  It will air live on CMT at 7pm est.  Jimmy's never shied away from politics, and he's causing a little bit of a stir with his latest comments about the gulf oil spill and who is ultimately to blame for the disaster.

I love his music and his good intentions, but I'm personally not going to jump on the blame Bush bandwagon on this one...

According to FoxNews.com:

Buffett, a supporter of President Barack Obama, said the roots of the spill lie with the administration of former President George Bush, which was often criticized for being too cozy with the petroleum industry.

"To me it was more about eight years of bad policy before (Obama) got there that let this happen. It was Dracula running the blood bank in terms of oil and leases," he said. "I think that has more to do with it than how the president reacted to it."
